That Reminds Me

Ah, Twitter…

Twitter to add warning label to tweets it deems ‘viral misinformation’
Twitter announces censorship tools for combatting ‘viral misinformation’

The feature would allow Twitter representatives to censor or handicap posts they determine to be misleading or false. The company claimed that the suppression tools will only be used in the case of a “humanitarian crisis.”

Aside from the BS “humanitarian crisis” bit, I don’t see what’s new about this. But it did remind me.

Last month, on noting I’m still “suspened” by Twitter (since September 2020), I decided to “appeal” my suspension. Again. After all, a judge and jury ruled that I was correct.

Not that I have any intention of using Twitter; but I would like to log in and delete the account.

So it’s been three weeks. I’m still suspended. They haven’t even bothered to “rule” on my appeal.

Hmm. Maybe Elon Musk should widen his Twitter data search a little, from just how many Twiiter accounts are bots, to how many “real” accounts are even allowed to use Twitter?

How many accounts are pople like me, who haven’t been allowed to tweet in most of two years?
