7.8 Magnitude Quake In Turkey

I’ve been reading about it, because back in the ’80sI lived in Malatya. I and traveled, even vacationed, in the areas hit bad.

Malatya itself seems to be northeast of the epicenter, but from pictures I’ve seen it was still hit really hard. The other areas I spent time in were even worse.

I’m glad a big quake like that didn’t happen back when I was there.

There were some concerns about Chernobyl, but I don’t think much of the fallout ever reached our area.
