I’d Take A Close Look At The Fine Print On That Deal

Frontier Airlines has a new “Go Wild! All-You-Can-Fly” plan. Six hudred bucks for a year of unlimited domestic flights. Sounds pretty good, eh?

Maybe…

“Search & Book on FlyFrontier.com the day before flight departure. Your pass will be valid for one year beginning May 2, 2023. For each flight, you’ll pay $0.01 in airfare plus applicable taxes, fees, and charges at the time of booking. When you book, you can also purchase options like bags, seats, and other ancillary products for each flight to customize your travel.”

Seats?

“Flights do not include any add-on products (like bags or seats)”

Seats. And that says bags aren’t included either; not just checked bags.

You might also want to check the availability of in-flight O2.

Interestingly, while you can buy your pass now, it isn’t valid/usable until May 23 next year; more than six months from now. I’m guessing Frontier has some serious cash flow problems and needs a quick revenue infusion. I wonder if they’ll still be operating 5/23/2023.

Just Make “Demublican Party The Offical Name

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) reportedly said Wednesday that what he and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have said about the future of the Republican Party is “remarkably similar.”

Hardly a surprise to anyone who pays attention to what Yertle says, does, and doesn’t do.

You know who else agrees, and is cool with that?

All the Repugnantcan senators.

McConnell wins Senate leadership election, overcomes Scott challenge
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday won reelection as Senate GOP leader, fending off a challenge from Sen. Rick Scott and setting himself up to become the longest-serving party leader in the history of the Senate.

I was planning to vote in the Georgia Senate run-off, just to vote against Dim Warnock.

But what’s the point?

Added: The Gateway Pundit sums it up well.

BREAKING: Republican Senators Elect Slimy Mitch McConnell Their Leader Because They Hate You

I’ll keep an eye on the Babylon Bee to see their take.

Texas governor declares invasion at border, invokes constitutional powers in historic action
Frustrated by an unending crisis fueled by drug and human trafficking at the southern border, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Tuesday declared his state was under an invasion and invoked special powers granted under the U.S. and Texas constitutions.

‘Bout damned time.

The Ransom Of Red Chief

I’ve been watching an old TV show, Grimm. It’s got an interesting premise, but my interest has started to lag. Though last night’s episode still has me chuckling.

Some idiot kidnapped Diana.

If you watched the show, you know. If you don’t…

Diana is a cute little girl. In show time, she’s four or five years old, but appears to be around nine or ten. And utterly sociopathic, with scarily awesome telekinetic and magical powers.

As expected, the kidnapping did not go well. But unlike some others who garnered Diana’s attention, the kidnapper did survive. But his survival was necessary for a few more laughs when daddy picked up Diana from her “play date.”

Maricopa Strikes… Wait. What?

It looks bad, but read closely what the county claimed to be doing.

Maricopa County Election Judge Is Threatened by Supervisors After Speaking Out About Tabulation Errors – Ballots Counted Is Based on Check-Ins NOT Scanning and Reading Through Tabulator
Maricopa County recently admitted in a new statement that 70 out of 223 or over 30% of voting centers were impacted by this election day debacle after previously claiming that only about 20% were affected.
[…]
Voters were told to deposit their ballots into “box 3” or “door 3” to be tabulated at the Elections Department in downtown Phoneix later. The County claims that only 17,000 votes were affected and dropped in “box 3.”
[…]
The County had set up a website to give voters the ability to check that their vote was counted. The problem is Michele has proven that the website isn’t correct and seems to be using a voter’s “check in” as evidence their vote was tabulated rather than the actual tabulation of the vote. Michele offered her first-hand proof of this.
[…]
About an hour after I arrived home at 9 pm MT, my roommate checked the website to see if his vote had been counted. The website reported it was. It is mathematically impossible for his vote to have been counted by then since only an hour before, I left the center, and the ballots had not been taken from the center to the meeting point where the ballots are hand exchanged to another transport team, which takes them to the tabulation center. For his ballot to have been counted, it would have also needed to be sorted and hand-counted by a team at that center and reported into the website —all within that hour.

The fact that this seems to indicate that they’re faking ballot count numbers is bad enough. But the very alleged online system to check if your ballot — “anonymously” dropped in a box for later tabulation — has been counted means…

That your individual ballot, supposedly with no name or other identifying info, actually can be tied to you specifically.

If Maricopa really has a system to check when individual voters’ ballots are finally tabulated, then that means they have a record of not just whether you voted, but exactly who and what you voted for.

So much for secret ballots.

PayPal is long gone. I’ve — I hope — added a Gab Pay option to my Tip Jar page.

They seem to expect folks to integrate Gab Pay into automated purchases systems with an API. I hope this simple link, or QR code for smartphone users, works. Generous folks with any money left over after inflation could test that.

Regular readers may have noticed that my posting here and at The Zelman Partisans has been sparse lately. A while back I was doing some yard work and it could have gone better.

Nothing like last year’s little adventure in hip replacement, but uncomfortable. For the first time in decades, I stupidly got into some poison ivy. OK, apparently a lot of poison ivy. That would have been bad enough, but I also pulled an arm muscle rather badly, and that’s been my main issue with writing… heck, just with doing much web browsing. Manipulating a keyboard was unreasonably painful. Mostly I just wanted to lie down in a position that let my arm muscles completely relax. And sleep.

That’s passing, so I should be posting more now.

I Resemble That Babylon Bee Story

Yep.

Report: Cutting Your Own Hair Can Save You From Looking Like You Spent Money On A Haircut
With people across the country pinching pennies to deal with runaway inflation, several reports suggest that cutting your own hair can save you from looking like you spent money on a haircut.
[…]
Popular techniques being employed include the bowl cut, the buzz cut, and classic hippie dreadlocks. Experts say all three styles are guaranteed to save people the trouble of looking like they paid money for someone to cut their hair for them.

I use the buzz cut method. Every two or three weeks, I buzz it down to an eighth of an inch.

I trim my sister’s hair, too. Usually just shortening it slightly; but last time she wanted something more elaborate. I shrugged, pointed at my own recently buzzed coif, and asked if she was sure about that.

When all was said and done, she merely noted that hair grows back.

Those concerned about my sartorial state can make tip jar donations. I no longer use PayPal, but there are other options. And if anyone can explain how to make GabPay work on a blog site, that would be appreciated.

Another Mystery Ballot Drop In the GA Walker/Warnock Senate Race

It looks rather like Herschel Walker had pulled slightly ahead of incumbent socialist Warnock, with a trend that would have continued with Walker leading. Enough to avoid a run-off? I don’t know.

But suddenly, a large dump of ballots showed up,2020-style, putting Warnock solidly in the lead again.

The Gateway Pundit says, “THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.”

I’m sure that rat-bastard Georgia Secretary of Scum Raffensperger will get right on it.

While I’m fantasizing, maybe he’ll take an honest look at how a primary ballot printed on ruled, 3-hole, looseleaf paper got accepted, scanned, and validated. And why the paper validation feature that taxpayers are paying extra for — and the special, expensive ballot paper — was disabled on nearly every machine checked.

Yeah, right. That’s a but much to expect from the crook who signed and agreement with Democrats to specifically violate state election laws.
