Eight years ago, I did a gag video about climate change… and kittens.
Gender-neutral kittens.
Had to check. The Indiegogo page is gone, the video is still up on YouTube. And it hasn’t even gotten flagged.
I liked the range of comments at Watts Up With That, too. Everything from people who thought it was serious to folks who almost shorted out their computer spraying coffee.
And I got a donation from “Al Gore.”

Joe Biden Is Holding a “Virtual Inaugural Parade” Since Nobody Will Come — Maybe They’ll End with a Circle Rally?
President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have instituted a series of strict safety protocols to protect potential attendees at their January 20 ceremony, which is themed “Our Determined Democracy: Forging a More Perfect Union.”
“Forging.” Clearly a reference to all those mystery Biden ballots.

Holy fuck, Sanders has completely lost it.
But so have the rest of the Left.
Let’s be clear. If Trump is too dangerous to send out a tweet or a Facebook post, he’s too dangerous to be commander-in-chief. Donald Trump must be removed from office immediately and held accountable for his horrific acts of sedition, violence and chaos.
Impeach the President because Twitter banned him.

POST PRIMUM, RELIQUA SUNT LIBERO |
Normally, I check news first thing in the morning. After yesterday though…
I got up today and decided to hold off. After a couple cups of coffee, I gave it a shot.
Bans, suspensions, deplatforming, delisting. Everywhere Big Tech is eliminating channels for anyone they find insufficiently obedient.
In the mainstream media, it’s all cheers; “Yippee! We’ve silenced those bad Trumpsters!” Whether they were actually Trump supporters or not. Hint: You can oppose election fraud, socialism, and Pantifa/BLM without supporting Trump.
But yeah. they’re silencing people. And they’ve fucking stupid enough to think that’s good. You took our elections. You took our courts. Now you’re taking — you think — our voices.
What’s that leave? Did you truly believe (speaking of the Left, I can’t say “think”) that only left capitulation?

Unconfirmed, but — I think — extremely credible.
Not sure why they bothered. No one was going to do anything about the fraud anyway. This is just a slap in the face…
Which I suppose was the point: “Fuck you. We aren’t going to let you challenge us.”

The Fate of Empires and the Search for Survival, by Sir John Glubb, was published in 1976. Some might call it prescient.
Glubb was among many other things, a historian. He saw that pretty much every empire though history went through the same phases from founding to collapse.
I’m just enough of a student of history that I was inclined to agree with his thesis. But reading that article was still a shocker. He’s right, and he supports the idea with some very telling a specific examples throughout history.
You should read this. It’s 26 pages, but it is not densely written just for uppity intellectuals. He clearly wanted this concept to be accessible to everyone. It is not a tough read.
I particularly want you to read the section on the Age of Decadence, the period that leads to collapse. Here’s one brief part.
As long as it retains its status of leadership,
the imperial people are glad to be generous,
even if slightly condescending. The rights of
citizenship are generously bestowed on every
race, even those formerly subject, and the
equality of mankind is proclaimed. The
Roman Empire passed through this phase,
when equal citizenship was thrown open to
all peoples, such provincials even becoming
senators and emperors.
The Arab Empire of Baghdad was equally,
perhaps even more, generous. During the
Age of Conquests, pure-bred Arabs had
constituted a ruling class, but in the ninth
century the empire was completely
cosmopolitan.
State assistance to the young and the poor
was equally generous. University students
received government grants to cover their
expenses while they were receiving higher
education. The State likewise offered free
medical treatment to the poor. The first free
public hospital was opened in Baghdad in
the reign of Harun al-Rashid (786-809), and
under his son, Mamun, free public hospitals
sprang up all over the Arab world from Spain
to what is now Pakistan.
The impression that it will always be
automatically rich causes the declining
empire to spend lavishly on its own
benevolence, until such time as the economy
collapses, the universities are closed and the
hospitals fall into ruin.
Then read some news headlines.
Hat tip to Peter Grant.

Now that he really is President-Elect of the United State of Dominion, Biden better not turn his back on Harris.
Anyone making book on whether he makes it to inauguration?
And am I the only one that thought “Dominion” was a creepy name for an election system?
dominion:
law : supreme authority

Really, I didn’t. But with what started in DC this afternoon, we may be going there.
The next few hours, and the National Guard response, will decide.
Remember, it only took four people.
Added, 5:30: Interesting. False flag op? The Capitol Viking Boy was photographed in the same get-up at an Arizona BLM protest in June. I was going to link to the Parler post, but it appears to have been deleted. Fortunately, I saved the image.
Added, 1/7/2021: More.
And more.
Sheesh.
Facial recognition firm claims Antifa infiltrated Trump protesters who stormed Capitol
A retired military officer told The Washington Times that the firm XRVision used its software to do facial recognition of protesters and matched two Philadelphia Antifa members to two men inside the Senate.
Added, 1/7/2021, 12:15PM: XRVision denies the report.
There were several reports of Dominion machines breaking down in heavily Republican precincts where the voters were told the elections officials will scan their ballots later.
And in one county, even that wasn’t an option. Would-be voters were not allowed to vote at all, but were told to come later. Tough shit if they can’t come back.
Poll observers in Fulton County on Tuesday were being blocked by barriers.
In violation of not only the law, but a specific-to-this-case consent decree.
Single individuals were scanning and adjudicating ballots without Republican observers at the World Congress Center.
-sigh-
Votes were being removed from Republican candidates live on air.
Thousands of votes at a time.
Several Democrat precincts just stopped counting last night as the Republican candidates pulled ahead.
Called that one, too. Stop, wait to see how many more Dem ballots you need to counter Rep ballots elsewhere, then “find” them.
Scandal-plagued DeKalb County had to rescan advance ballots in Georgia’s senate race because of a “memory card issue.”
Yep.
I also noticed that precincts reporting abruptly dropped from 79% to 76%. That would be precincts noticing Perdue’s numbers and realizing they needed to “find” some more Dem ballots; so they call in and say, “Oops, we aren’t finished after all.” In an honest election, once a precinct has declared they’ve finished, they stay finished. If they “find” more ballots, too bad; wait for an honest Secretary of State (which Georgia does not have) to call for a recount.
“New year,” same ol’ shit.
