TZP Column: Yet Another “Assault Weapon” Licensing Bill

This RINO’s previous support for gun control victim disarmament pissed off so many people that he’s forced to retire. So what else does he have to lose?

REPUBLICAN CONGRESSCRITTER FLIPS OFF AMERICA ON WAY OUT THE DOOR
Not much more information of the bill, H.R.8882 – To amend title 18, United States Code, to require a license to acquire or receive an assault weapon, and for other purposes, is available. No text is published yet.

Just what we can see, though, really suffices. A federal licensing scheme with zero “general historical tradition.” An unconstitutionally vague allowance for revoking licenses for unspecified reasons. What we have here is yet another example of an oath-breaking SOB knowing his proposal flies i the face of the Constitution and Supreme Court rulings, but forcing the people to waste money fighting it in court anyway.

Alternatives To STASI/PayPAl

I just received this link via email. The news is a bit old, but I really haven’t seen much about it at all. It deserves to be aired out again.

PayPal’s Unholy Alliance With ADL Opens the Door to a Massive Security Breach
Two weeks ago, PayPal abruptly announced a major new partnership with the Anti-Defamation League to investigate the financial transactions of its users:

PayPal Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL), in partnership with ADL (the Anti-Defamation League), today announced a new partnership initiative to fight extremism and hate through the financial industry and across at-risk communities. This is the latest effort by PayPal in combating racism, hate and extremism across its platforms and the industry.

Let’s go to PayPal’s actual press release.

Through this collaboration, PayPal and ADL have launched a research effort to address the urgent need to understand how extremist and hate movements throughout the U.S. are attempting to leverage financial platforms to fund criminal activity. The intelligence gathered through this research initiative will be shared broadly across the financial industry and with policymakers and law enforcement.

Universal BS Translator: PayPal will (is) spy on their customers…

And share that data with an outside nongovernmental organization.

The intelligence gathered through this research initiative will be shared broadly across the financial industry and with policymakers and law enforcement.

UBST: And with the governments which people are criticizing. Note the lack of mention of subpoenas or warrants.

In addition to extremist and anti-government organizations, the initiative will focus on actors and networks spreading and profiting from all forms of hate and bigotry against any community.

UBST: And we won’t stop with potentially unlawful activities. We’re going to spy on, and share and report noncriminal speech we don’t like.

Perhaps this accounts in part for the drastic drop in PayPal donations I’ve experienced (one, in the past three months, which isn’t keeping up with my Internet access bills). It could well be that those more clued in simply don’t want to donate to — and thus be tied to — someone who routinely criticizes the governemt and politicians for constitutional violations.

Although another issue seems to be PayPal’s lust for telephone contact data. One person asked for an alternate means of donating because PayPal insists on being given the donor’s phone number (I suppose that makes it easier to collate data on users and their donors). Using a desktop computer, I was always presented with a “not now” button allowing me to skip the phone number requirement, but my source says that doesn’t appear when using a smart phone.

Please offer viable alternatives to PayPal in comments. I need something.

Although with the credit card reporting these days, cash might be best.

Huh. Doesn’t anyone else remember way back when the ADL had a decent reputation? Maybe not; I’m old.

TZP Column: Coming Victim Disarmament Bills In Georgia

Another Dim-wit unaware of existing laws and SCOTUS rulings.

MORE ILLEGALLER IN GEORGIA
Reports indicate that Georgia Dim-ocrats are planning some interesting gun control bills for the next session. I have questions.

Spoiler: Rep Sandra Scott is a Dim-ocrat, from the Atlanta area (District 76). Yes, you can expect stupidity.

Looks Like Fulton County, PA Is Finally Doing Some CYA

Funny, they seem to be suing Dominion over a bunch of the same things they denied ever happening, and called “disinformation” “baseless claims.”

The lawsuit focuses around violations of their contract, certification issues, connectivity issues, and alleged foreign databases and scripts found on the systems. Some of the claims are on par with the “debunked” rumors associated with the “most secure election ever” claims, including internet connectivity, outdated security protections, remote accessibility, and random USBs inserted.

Looks like they’re making at least 76 claims, any one of which oughta send someone to prison. Probably several someone’s, since it means the machines should never have been certified for use.

Or used.

At this point, I’d guess it’s a battle over who goes to prison. Hence, the CYA.

Global (Online) Warming

My two thermometers, both in the same location for years, currently read:

Bimetallic Dial: 79 degrees

Alcohol Tube: 80 degrees

The alcohol tube thermometer seems to respond to temperature changes a little faster; I attribute that to lower thermal mass than the dial thermometer.

Weather Underground reports a bunch of private weather stations surrounding me. They all read from 83.3 degrees to 90.1. The main reading claims we saw a 14 degree jump (71 to 85 degrees) from 7:56A to 10:56AM. Someone needs to get their sensor(s) out of direct sunlight. And away from the AC units.

Weather Underground also claims that September 19 hit a high of 99 degrees.

The Weather Channel claims 83 degrees. National Weather Service says 84.

Sure.

Here, August had two days that hit 90 or higher. September hasn’t made it out of the low 80s. My body agrees, which makes yard work a lot more comfortable than usual. It’s been a cool summer, which you wouldn’t know if you get your weather reports online.

I’m So Old, I Remember When Dim-ocrats Thought Bussing Was A Good Thing

Funny how that changes when it means “undesirables” getting dumped on them.

Is bussing migrants ethical? New Yorkers weigh in
People in New York sounded off on Republican governors bussing illegal immigrants across the country, with some calling it a crime against humanity while others criticized left-wing outrage.

“I think that’s a crime,” Jackson told Fox News. “They’re in your state, deal with them in your state don’t send them here.”

“In an effort to address the ongoing de facto segregation in schools, the 1971 Supreme Court decision, Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education, ruled that the federal courts could use busing as a further integration tool to achieve racial balance.”

Abbott, DeSantis, et al. are just trying to equitably balance the distribution of illegals. Why’s that suddenly bad?

TZP Column: Shrouded In The Mists Of Time

Shrouded In The Mists Of Time
Bruen strikes again.

Hardly surprising, assuming honest courts (a big assumption). Bruen threw out New York’s Sullivan Act of 1911 “good case” licensing requirement for lack of general, historical tradition. If a century+ infringement couldn’t make the grade, what chance — again, in an honest court — did an infringement, dating back no more than 54 years, have: Gun Control Act of 1968.

Much of the GCA ’68 is on very thin ice.

Am I Turning Into A Conspiracy Theorist?

I wrote something in an email the other day. I decided it wouldn’t hurt to let it see the public light of day. The topic started with COVID-19 pseudo-vaccination.

Eight mice. And “We don’t need human testing, because the previous jabs proved so very safe and effective…”

… if you don’t mind the the — what was it? 44% — miscarriage rate in trials. Or the menstrual cycle disruptions. Or the decrease in male fertility (don’t worry, it *mostly* comes back, according to papers). Or SADS (must be global warming; seriously I saw that).

And there’s a confluence that bugs me enough, that I’m almost afraid to say too much publicly.

Abortion, abortion abortion. MI’s Whitmer defunding *non*-abortion services. Pocahontas calling for MA’s non-abortion support clinics to be closed. In GA, part of Stacy Abrams’ platform (oddly not much spoken aloud) is criminalizing pregnancy clinics that don’t do abortions. Google has announced that they’ll delist or hide search results for nonabortion clinics.

Meanwhile, the push to chemically castrate and neuter prepubescent kids marches on. With recommendations for lowering the age for permanent “sex change” surgeries.

And just when did it become so important to use schools to convince children that they’re really nonbreeding gay/lesbian/asexual/trans/…?

Meanwhile, with winter staring us in the face, our glorious leaders are ending reliable power, and *planning* for “energy riots” rather than planning to restore energy.

Saw a report about an aluminum factory in Europe yesterday. Their energy costs to produce raw stock aluminum are now about 2.5 times the price of raw stock aluminum. They mostly shut down, may completely shut down, and if they do, they don’t expect it to be cost effective to ever reopen.

Likewise, a fertilizer factory has cut back on ammonia (nitrates) production by 60%, and may close. Handy for those politicians that want to “reduce” nitrates from fertilizers and cattle.

If I were still writing bad SF, this be be a great, if cheesy, alien invasion storyline: tricky invaders use social engineering to convince stupid humans to render *themselves* extinct, with nary an alien shot fired.

Since I wrote that bit about dropping the recommended minimum age for “transgender medical malpractice/chemical castration, the WPATH has actually eliminated its minimum age recommendation. And the Dims want over-the-counter testosterone for “transboys” (the better to neuter themselves without even a quack’s supervision; ask a real nurse about the side effects of testosterone in women).

I mentioned all this to someone else, who noted that it’s pretty much true.

Execpt the clever aliens part. We have plenty enough crazies, idiots, and elites who think it’ll never apply to them, to account for it.

On the upside, this bit of procreation-prevention should rid us, in the long term, of lots of crazies and idiots. I’m not usually a fan of eugenics, but…

Those Simulated Meat Products Just Don’t Satisfy The Cravings For the Real Thing

I saw this earlier today, but put off commenting, mostly because everything that occurred to me was… wait for it… tasteless.*

But WTF…

Beyond Meat COO bites off tip of man’s nose after road rage incident: police
Beyond Meat COO Doug Ramsey was arrested following an alleged road rage incident that led to him biting the flesh off of the tip of the victim’s nose, according to local news.

* Yeah, as if that ever stopped me.

Another Listing For Gender Psychosis Disorder

Eunuchs. I shit you not.

Oddly enough, the article doesn’t mention any actual eunuchs asking to be included as trannies.

Trans health group claims ‘eunuch’ is a gender identity, says it can be identified in teens
The widely-cited international body, which sets the guidelines for treating children and adolescents who believe themselves to be transgender, has added a whole chapter on the latest gender identity: Eunuch.

My sister saw this article, too.

I guess that’s one the Catholic Church can get behind.

“Get behind.” I’m trying to decide if that was a poor choice of words, or an excellent one.
