Someone At DOJ Is In Trouble

Oopsie. Right hand ain’t talking to the left.

Justice Department Says Militia Group Cannot Blame Donald Trump for Entering Capitol on January 6
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is arguing the founder and members of the Oath Keepers militia group who entered the U.S. Capitol on January 6 cannot blame former President Donald Trump for their actions.

DOJ lawyers argued Trump lacked the authority to authorize an attack on the Capitol, which should prevent Oath Keepers’ lawyers from blaming the former President.

President Trump did not have the authority to permit or authorize a conspiracy to forcibly oppose the authority of the government or the execution of the laws of the United States, nor could he have lawfully sanctioned the attack on the United States Capitol on Jan. 6 or any of the other criminal conduct allegedly perpetrated by defendants.

Since this is exactly what the JAN6 Kangaroo Kommittee is “investigating,” and which they’ve asking the DOJ to investigate, I think the “insurrection” prosecutors just screwed. Politically speaking.

“Hilarity Ensues”

CNN went to Wyoming to ask voters about support for Liz Cheney. It went about as well as you’d expect, if you’ve spent much time in Wyoming.

CNN Travels to Foreign Land of Wyoming to Ask Voters if They Support Wicked Liz Cheney – Stunned by Replies (VIDEO)
CNN recently traveled to that strange faraway land of Wyoming to ask voters about wicked Liz Cheney.

They were stunned by the answers.

First person questioned, an older woman; my age or older:

CNN: Are you planning to vote for Liz Cheney?

Woman: Can I cuss? Hell, no!

It went downhill from there.

But

For CNN this was acutally good reporting.

First, they went to Cheyenne, which does have a higher percentage of liberals than outside the city, and spoke to folks that, by their accents, are real Wyomingites. I would have expected them to go to Jackson, and interview a bunch of rich, socialist California transplants, and pass that off as representative of the views of the state. The CNN reporter admitted that almost everyone they spoke to opposed Cheney.

Second, they actually ran the story despite not getting the expected We love Liz answers. They didn’t kill it (yet, I guess). But that reporter and the editor that ran the piece will probably be looking for new jobs by Monday.

I Was Waiting For This

Really. It’s exactly what I expected. Biden’s COVID-positive again.

Biden, 79, tests positive for COVID AGAIN and goes back into White House isolation after ‘rebound’ case common in elderly patients who take ‘Paxlovid’
President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, sending him back into isolation just three days after he was cleared to resume his duties.

In a memo, Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, said the president is experiencing no new symptoms and ‘continues to feel quite well.’

The only surprising thing was the claim that he tested negative just a week after his positive. Even when you beat all the symptoms, your immune system is still purging teh last of the virus. Pseudo-vaccinated people have been shedding infectious levels of virus for weeks.

And all this time Gropin’ Joe has allegedly been running around mixing with folk. Heh.

Add in the known “Paxlovid rebound,” and this was a given. And frankly, from the reports I’ve seen, this second bout is liable to be worse than his first go-around.

Damn. Glad I had my hip replaced at UF Health.

This was in Jacksonville, but at a different hospital than where I was taken.

Florida hospital ignored years of complaints about surgeon, patients and families allege
An orthopedic surgeon in Florida caused “hundreds of devastating injuries” while his hospital ignored complaints from patients for years after he started displaying signs of a progressive neurological disorder, according to court documents.

Between 2016 and 2020, patients noticed Dr. Richard David Heekin slurring his words and having “difficulty with balance, inability to concentrate, angry outbursts, erratic behavior, gait disturbances and impaired judgment and mood,” according to court documents.
[…]
The resulting complications were significant, with many patients requiring revision surgeries, and at least one complication cost a patient her life, according to the civil complaints.

All I’m having to deal with is a doctor I’ve never met billing me for something that he won’t specify.

Do it.

After watching the debate and vote on the “assault weapon” ban (HR 1808/1302), I’d bet half the nation would cheer.

China Threatens to Shoot Down Pelosi’s Plane if She Makes a Stop in Taiwan
A Chinese Communist Party propagandist on Friday said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plane may be shot down if she makes a stop in Taiwan.

Pelosi on Friday departed for Asia, however a stop in Taiwan is still uncertain due to China’s threats.

“Assault Weapon” Ban Debate

And the voting has started.

I’ve been listening to some of the debate. The stupidity is amazing, but expected.

Republican speaking: Explains difference between semi-auto and full-auto. Dimocrats don’t even understand what’s in the bill. Stabilizing braces are not bump-stocks. They help disabled people shoot.

Democrat up next: People are trying to claim they need their bump-stocks for disability access. And none of us are calling ARs “weapons of war.”

Yields 2 minutes to another Dim: “These weapons of war…” And they’re machine gun. And this bill gets all those evil weapons of ware off the street at last.

Even when just told the difference between a bump-stock and abrace, and the idiot still confuses them. The other guy still thinks these are machineguns.

The only good not as bad as it could be part of this bill is that it DOES NOT get rid of existing ARs; existing firearms are grandfathered.

He IS A DIMocrat, After All

-sigh- Idiot.

Democrat Asks Ruger Not to Sell Certain Type of Ammo; Ruger CEO Responds, ‘We Do Not Sell Ammunition’
Krishnamoorthi addressed Killoy, saying, “[I] assume you won’t sell a weapon that tears through bulletproof vests, will you?”

Killoy responded, “Congressman, with all due respect, the ability to pierce body armor typically relates to the ammunition, not the firearm.”

Krishnamoorthi shot back, “So you will not sell that ammunition either, will you?”

Killoy explained, “Congressman, we do not sell ammunition. We sell firearms in a variety of calibers.”

And, you moronic dweeb, under 18 U.S. Code § 922(a) (7) and (8), it has long been unlawful to manufacture or sell armor-piercing ammunition to anyone but the government, or for overseas export.

“The bridge they found them when I got arrested.”

Biden’s pre-recorded speech yesterday was peculiar. Heavily edited, with lots of spliced jumps as if it took multiple takes to get something coherent out of him.

He starts out alert enough, but tapers off to his usual “Sleepy Joe” state. Then there’s this part at 7:56. I’ve listened to it several times, and I hear, “The bridge they found them when I got arrested.” The captioning says otherwise. Listen and see what you think.

And watch closely starting at 8:20. He’s been leaning forward half-propping himself on the lectern, speaking — sometimes mumbling — in a low-key manner, and squinting at the teleprompter. Suddenly there’s another video cut, and now he’s standing upright, very wide-eyed, and speaking forcefully.

Looks to me like his meds wore off and they had a break in recording to jack him up on speed again.

ATF Copying A&D Books

ATF auditor illegally recording an FFL’s A&D books

With video.

No registry? Here’s our ATF auditor copying every single page of our A&D books with her cell phone camera using an app that reads text. This data includes make, model, serial number, buyer’s name and address, and even the seller. We have over 20 minutes of footage of this happening in our shop in public view. Yes, this is illegal.

Damned right it’s illegal. The “no registry/database” was the “compromise” that FOPA gave us when we lost new machineguns.

It was compromise the feds could afford to make, since they had no intention of obeying the law anyway.

Oh, and note that Twitter’s censors hid the video behind a “The following media includes potentially sensitive content” warning.
